DZO’s sister company, Thypoch, has rehoused their stills Simera lenses to create beautiful, lightweight and tiny cinema lenses that have a clear aesthetic bordering more on a “vintage” look, but not distractingly so. They are fast at T1.5 which is again surprising for such tiny lenses. We have chosen to stock them in M-Mount rather than e-mount (despite our undying allegiance to Sony) so they can be adapted to Sony, L-mount or RF mount. Our e-mount is built like a tank with no play. They are also the perfect pairing to the Ronin 4D as they have a similar form factor as the Cooke SP.3s. Choosing them in M mount means you can pair them with your Blackmagic Pyxis, or RED Raptor/ Komodo or whatever RED’s are announced before we update this blurb and obviously Venice 2 and Burano have a sneaky e-mount so we are truly excited to see what images you guys produce with this tiny but mighty set.
