This is a lens based on Joseph Petval’s 1840s lens, which was revolutionary at the time – like proper revolutionary, not how we use that word so glibly now – and has now experienced a resurgence in popularity after “Poor Things”. The swirly bokeh and soft edges make it completely unique. It is just so tasty.
